Setting up a Yealink telephone with Megacall

In this guide, we are going to look at how to setup a Yealink phone with the Megacall service...


You first need to access the phone's web interface, the IP address for this can be different depending on the setup on your network.


Once in the phone web interface, you will need to go to the "Account" tab and then complete the following information:-


Label - This is for your own reference (in case you have more than one SIP account), here we have put Megacall

Display Name - Your internal PBX number from your personal account 

Register Name - Your internal PBX number from your personal account 

User Name - Your internal PBX number from your personal account 

Password - Your internal PBX password from your personal account

Port - You will need to set this as 5060




Enabling Encryption


If you wish to enable encryption on your phone you can do so by following the below ins


1. Go to the Account tab > Register, in the SIP-server 1 Port field enter 5061

2. In the Advanced tab, set RTP encryption (SRTP) field to Compulsory.

If this option is unavailable, update your device firmware.

3. In the Extended settings, in the Connected to network tab Transportation field choose TLS

4. In the Security - Trusted Certificates in Only accept trusted certificates choose Disabled

5. Confirm settings
