Configuring Zoiper on Mobile Device

In this guide, we are going to learn how to set up Zoiper on a mobile device.



Please note: Zoiper is a third-party application that will not work with PUSH notifications. Push notifications are where the call appears on the screen and the user is alerted to an incoming call when the phone screen is locked. As this is a third-party application there is very little Megacall can do and for this reason, we recommend where possible using the Megacall mobile App.



To set up the device we first need to go to the App Store or Play Store (depending on your device) and search for Zoiper. We are going to download the Free (Lite) version...





Once downloaded we will see the welcome screen...





On the next screen, we need to press on the option "Settings" in the bottom right-hand corner...





This will open up the Settings screen. Here we need to press "Accounts"





In Accounts, we need to press on the "+" icon in the top right-hand corner...





When the following screen pops up, we can press "YES"





On this screen, we need to press "Select a Provider"





From the Providers list, we can go ahead and select "Megacall"





This will provide the basic information, but we need to introduce the Username and Password for our extension.





We need to ensure that the "User name" and "Password" are filled out with the information you would have received via email. Once done then you will need to click on "Register"





Once we have done this we should see the message "Registration Status: OK"





If we go back into the settings menu we should see a green tick next to the Megacall SIP Account...





Also when we go back to the main screen of the App, we should see the words "Megacall App Ready"





This concludes the setting up of Zoiper on a Mobile device.
