How to Set Up Call Forwarding on Yealink IP Phones

One such feature is “call forwarding”, which allows you to automatically redirect incoming calls to another party. Types of Call Forwarding

Before we get into the details of how to activate and deactivate call forwarding, let's briefly discuss the three types of call forwarding that you can configure on Yealink IP phones.

  1. Always Forward - This option forwards all incoming calls immediately.
  2. Busy Forward - This option forwards incoming calls when the phone is busy.
  3. No Answer Forward - This option forwards incoming calls when there is no answer after a period of time.



Enabling Call Forwarding


To enable call forwarding on your Yealink IP phone, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Select Features, then Forward. Note that the call forward key mode can only be configured via the web user interface.
  3. Use the Up or Down arrow keys to select the type of forwarding you want to enable.
  4. Depending on the type of forwarding you selected, follow the appropriate steps:
  • Always Forward:

a. Press the Left or Right arrow key to select Enable from the Always field. 

b. Enter the destination number you want to forward all incoming calls to in the Forward to the field. 

c. (Optional) Enter the always forward on code or off code respectively in the On Code or Off Code field.

  • Busy Forward: 

a. Press the Left or Right arrow key to select Enable from the Busy field. 

b. Enter the destination number you want to forward all incoming calls to when the phone is busy in the Forward to the field. 

c. (Optional) Enter the busy forward on code or off code respectively in the On Code or Off Code field.

  • No Answer Forward:

a. Press the Left or Right arrow key to select Enable from the No Answer field. 

b. Enter the destination number you want to forward all unanswered incoming calls to in the Forward to the field. 

c. Press the Left or Right arrow key to select the ring time to wait before forwarding in the “After” duration field (The default ring time is 12 seconds). 

d. (Optional) Enter the no answer forward on code or off code respectively in the On Code or Off Code field.

  1. Press OK to save the changes. You will see an image icon on the LCD screen indicating that call forwarding is enabled.

 


Disabling Call Forwarding

To disable call forwarding on your Yealink IP phone, you have a couple of options:

  • When the phone is idle, press the Tran button.
  • Press the Menu button, select Features, then Forward.
  • Use the Up or Down arrow keys to select the type of forwarding you want to disable.
  • Press the Left or Right arrow key to select Disable.
  • Press OK to save the changes.
