In this short guide we are going to look at how we can delete leads from within the Megadialer.
First of all we need to login to the campaign that we want to delete the lead(s) from...
Next we are going to click on the "Contact View" option on the left hand menu, this will show us all the contacts in the campaign...
We have various ways of filtering a lead in the campaign, for example:
By $id
This is the internal ID for that particular lead on the Megadialer. The ID is unique and is comprised of numbers and letters. When filtering this way you will normally only get 1 result.
By $phone
This is the phone number that was selected when importing. There can be multiple contacts with the same phone number however if you have the duplicate checker on, it will mean that most of these will appear as "$duplicate" in the "$status_detail" column.
By First_Name
We can search for the whole name in this field, this will display all results of people whom have that same name.
You can also search for partial names if you want by using a wildcard. The wildcard symbol is "*" and will display different results depending on where you put the wildcard.
For example we could search on "First_Name=Ma*" and it would display all results where the first 2 letters match "Ma"
By Email -
Here we could search for partial email addresses aswell, such as all those contacts that have a ".com" address... All we would need to do is put "Email=*.com" and it would display the following...
Basically we can filter by any field that appears in grey in the contact view.
Once we have decided how we want to filter the leads we can proceed to delete them. Please note that when you filter leads, if you decide to delete them it will delete ALL leads in that filter.
In this example we are going to filter by $id and filter the contact $id=TAYXJ6PWQ8CSLE64. Once filtered we now see that it is the only lead in the list.
To delete we are going to click on the "trash can" icon in the top right corner...
We will now see a message in red saying "Do you really want to delete your filtered data?". Here we just click on the trash can icon again.
We will now see a final warning saying "Do you really want to delete your filtered contacts irretrievable?", if we are sure that we want to proceed with the deletion we can click on "Run". Before doing so we would need to ensure 100% that there is a filter in place, in the below screenshot we can see that we have a filter for one contact.
Once done, we can confirm that the lead has indeed been deleted by performing another search and see that no results are shown.
