In this short guide we will look at how we can forward our extension to an external number (such as a mobile for example) when the following scenarios happen:
- When the call is Not answered
- When the extension is busy
- When the extension is Not registered/Unreachable
First of call we need to log in to the PBX - if you don´t have the credentials and you are the authorised contact you can request them by emailing our Support Team on support@megacall.es
Once logged in to the PBX you would need to navigate to the extension that you wish to change the forwarding on, in this example we are going to forward extension 001 to an external device...
First we need to select the extension...
Next we need to click on the option that says "Incoming Call Rules"
Now we need to add 3 incoming rules, a shortcut is to click on the "+" symbol, this way you can add multiple rules at the same time...
The main points we need to check are, the number we want to forward to, the extension status, and the call status. We also need to ensure that the "Follow" dropdown in each section shows (as by default it shows Do not Follow)
Once done you will need to click on the "OK" button, this will then show the following rules in the screenshot below...
If for any reason you want to edit the number the calls forward to, you can simply click on the blue link on the existing rule and edit it.
